Happy Fall!

I hope you're soaking up the last few warm days before the cool weather really begins!  For me, summer always feels restorative and gives me the chance to refocus my energies where they may have started to fade throughout the first half of the year.  To prepare for the seasonal change, I've dug out last years fall clothes from the back of my closet and realized it's time to upgrade a few things!  If you're feeling the same, here are your key colors and textures to look out for this season.....

Every year navy, maroon, and gray heavily make an appearance in fall and winter trends.  Give them a bit of a boost by using the light tan, pale dusty pink, and brighter blue to keep things from getting too dark.  Also, mix your textures by adding in some suede pants and leather accessories to give your look more depth.

For the men, let's give those closet staples a much needed break.  Add maroon and dark green pants to your wardrobe to gain some variety.  Also try out some blue or gray shoes!  They're a nice neutral that will match almost any outfit and will free you from wearing black and brown every day.

If you're struggling to find excitement in your fall wardrobe, be sure to reach out!  I hope you enjoy the cool weather, pumpkin flavored everything, and changing leaves!  For weekly tips and suggestions, you can follow me on facebook or instagram!

Happy 4th of July!!

I hope you are kicking off your summer in a fabulous way and are taking some time to relax this weekend with family and friends!  Whether you are staying home and catching up on your favorite shows, or heading out of town to enjoy a change of scenery... I wish you a beautiful and restorative holiday!!!

Whether heading to a polished party or a backyard bbq, be sure to show your patriotic spirit with some red, white and blue.  There's no need for a tacky flag printed tank top that you'll only wear once a year.  Instead try using navy and denim as the base for your look.  Add hints of red and white to give it a festive flair!

Enjoy your summer and let me know if you need help preparing for any of this season's upcoming adventures!

The birds are chirping and the flowers are blooming...

... Which means it's officially time to break out your bright colors and freshen your look!  This season, earthy hues are brought to life with vibrant pops of color.  The neutral shades of Hazelnut, Pale Dogwood, Niagara and Kale will help balance out the brighter shades this spring.

For the ladies - Head to work in bold floral tops using the Pink Yarrow, Island Paradise and Primrose Yellow as your inspiration.  Balance the bright blazer and heels with black pants and bag.  Leg lines are wider and more flowy this season and shoulders are bare in cold shoulder and off the shoulder silhouettes.  Accessories should stay clean and simple to let the colors and silhouettes make the statement.

For the men - The earth tones this season will make your wardrobe versatile and easy to mix and match.  Use a mix of the Kale, Hazelnut and blue tones to keep things light and clean.  Lightweight bomber jackets and fun sneakers will be your key accessories for this spring.

If you're unsure how to integrate these colors into your look or just need help cleaning out the dreary remnants of winter, email me here for an appointment!

Let's Shop with a Cause!

Let's Shop for a Cause!

The winter weather is in full swing, even though days like today don't exactly feel like it.  With the winter comes the NYC Half Marathon!  Like last winter, I will be running this awesome race in honor of my grandmother, Ann Gassie who passed away with complications from Alzheimer's and dementia two years ago.

Each year I run with Athletes to End Alzheimer's, where each runner raises a minimum of $1,500 to donate to CaringKind.  As many as 5 million Americans are currently suffering from Alzheimer's disease, and CaringKind helps local NYC families and patients as they fight this irreversible brain disorder.  They provide free support to Alzheimer's and dementia patients, train family members how to properly care for their loved ones, and support research efforts to help find a cure for this, and related diseases.  So.... what does all of this have to do with your wardrobe?

10% of any services booked during the month of February will be donated to the fundraiser!  So if you're ready to clean out your closet or add some new pieces to the mix, you'll not only be sprucing up your wardrobe, but you'll be making a positive impact through a fabulous charity!!

If you'd like to read more about why this cause is so important to me, you can do so on my fundraiser page!  And if you're not in need of any wardrobe updates, I'll graciously accept all of the e-cheerleading I can get!

In honor of CaringKind's orange color, I've created this months email with great ways to incorporate this vibrant hue in a causal, yet stylish way!  For the gentleman, pair a chunky knit sweater with dark distressed denim and warm accessories to balance out the color palette.

For the ladies, keep these "cold shoulders" warm with a deep brown faux fur coat!  Bring in a mustard yellow bag, moto style jeans, and gold and brown jewelry to complete the look.

Spring is in the Air..... Finally

Each season Pantone releases the top colors in fashion trends.  Now that the weather is finally changing, it's time to infuse your wardrobe with the bright colors of spring!    So without further ado, allow me to introduce you to our new spring palette....

For the men, lighten things up this season.  Bring the Limpet Shell, Lilac Gray, and Iced Coffee into your pant collections and refresh your shirts with prints using the other colors.  The bolder/richer tones of Fiesta and Snorkel Blue will make perfect accent colors in your accessories to give the look some polish.  On casual days wear your sleeves rolled up (yes, even with a tie).  But, if you need a more formal look, add a linen blazer to finish it off.

Ladies... I know floral prints are in every spring, but this year they are trendier than ever.  Mix big bold florals into your tops, bottoms, dresses and even shoes!  Use pops of Fiesta, Peach Echo, and Limpet Shell to give vibrance when mixed with Rose Quartz and other softer hues.

If you're unsure how to integrate these colors into your look or just need help cleaning out the dreary remnants of fall, email me here for an appointment!
